Bulldog bowlers will travel to
Battle Creek for Division 1 finals

A season of hard work and the fine-tuning of all aspects of the game have paid off for three girls from the Romeo High School bowling team.
Freshman Alicia Harbin earned the third qualifying spot at the Region 3 bowling regional competition held in Grand Blanc this past weekend. Junior Kaylla Koster qualified fourth and fellow junior Shannon Kelley secured the fifth spot. A fourth team member, Sarah Kennedy, narrowly missed finishing in the top 10.
Koster led the scoring for most of the day, averaging 185.1. Her last game caused her to slip to the fourth position. Harbin was in the fifth position throughout the morning, but as the lane oil changed, Harbin continued to bowl well. She moved into the third position with an overall average for the day of 185.3. Kelley's last game of the day propelled her into the fifth qualifying position. Her average for the day was 183.3
The Bulldogs will travel to Battle Creek for the Division 1 state finals on March 6. The girls will face the same oil pattern, called "The Middle of the Road," at the state competition. The coaches and bowlers will return to the new DiLaura Brothers Bowling IQ Center in Sterling Heights this week to practice bowling on the pattern.
